One of the closest beaches to Puerto Pirámides is called Piedra Guacha. It is located no more than 800 mts from the central beach of the town, you can easily go by walking-
If the tide is low, the big rock is visible to simple sight, but when the tide is high, it´s cover completely,especially in extraordinary tides.
This beach is chosen by all people that want to go far away of the principal beach of the town.
This rock, made of pieces of fossils, is exposed in the sand beach. If you keep on walking you will arrive to another famous beach of Puerto Pirámides: The Caves. They are 2,5 km from Puerto Pirámides, and is really a good spot to see the sunset and also for people interested in fossils. If you are a long walks lover, for sure you´ll appreciate this!
