Punta Loma is a seal colony, 17 km from Puerto Madryn, is the oldest reserve in the province of Chubut, was established on 29 September 1967. It has two main viewpoints for the sea lions observation, from the cliff.

It also has an interpretive path, with local flora, it´s very interesting. In the Patagonian steppe, there are not much rain, the plants grow but not like trees, have several decades to reach two meters in height.

In this reserve, there are two houses, which are now inhabited by the family of long-standing park rangers, which are Diego and Rosana Conchillo. Several years ago were working and residing in our beloved town Puerto Piramides.
