She is like a personality in Patagonia, Isabel Peinecura, is Punta Norte Park ranger. Her humble roots was not a problem for her to reach a very appreciated goal for nature lovers.She was born in a very small village close to Rio Negro, it can be found just in few maps. While we talk with her about her childhood and after she told us some life stories, we can easy realized that Isabel had a really hard life.
After all, she was very lucky, by 1982 she and her husband received a job offer from Estancia La Adela , in Peninsula Valdes. They inmediately moved with the whole family and found the paradise here.
10 years later, she moved from that job and she joined the Park Ranger Group. She worked many years for the Interpretation Center located in the Istmo Ameghino and then in 2001 she had the offer to work as Park Ranger ... of course she accepted, and is a function that she has developed very consciously . Currently her job is to inform the tourist about the area, keep everything tidy in Punta Norte and control the tourist to respect the rules in the area.
In this last photo, she is next to Juan Copelo from Estancia La Ernestina and Punta Norte Orca Research, they both with Turco Cassin are the unmmisable personalities of Punta Norte.
