South bay from Punta Norte: “MEL´S” ATTACK

The Orca Mel, is the most known Orca from Península Valdés, a male that has 45 years old.During last days people saw it hunting two sea lions on the South Bay in Punta Norte.Mel is the most doing intencional stranding, and also, comparing the size is the largest. Their dorsal fin has more than 1.80 meters of height.

The South Bay in Punta Norte is located 300 meters from the Attack Channel. The photographers that have been there had the honor of have seen the action. Maybe not so close that they want, to take a first plane picture, but it was enough to contemplate the power of Mel, a REFERENCE OF WILDLIFE
