Fissurella Valdes Peninsula mollusks


The Fissurella are gastropod molluscs belonging to the order of vetigastropods (or primitive gastropods). Are characterized by a shell as a shield or "Chinese hat", which fully covers the body and which has bilateral symmetry, with proportions that vary according to species and environmental conditions. The body is equipped with a large muscular foot with which he moves. He lives in the intertidal zone of the coast and requires a firm substrate to adhere.
